It looks like some much needed improvements will be making their way into the theme directory and review process. After spending two months researching pain points, the WordPress Theme Review Team unanimously approved a roadmap of focal points. This is a good time for you to join the Theme Review team...especially if the themes directory affects you directly. Change is a comin’.

I suspect we are getting close to a release candidate, but for now we celebrate Beta 3 of WordPress 4.3. You know the drill – get it, break it, report it, repeat.

WP Android 4.3 is being submitted July 20th, and with translation being all the rage right now, help is needed to translate release notes and the app strings.

With all the #dramapress surrounding the community lately, it may be time to remember the awesomeness that is WordPress. Because it’s so massive, because it impacts so many of our lives, we fight each other are passionate.

There is still money to be had in WordPress...lots of it.  Look at all the business models people are using for commercial successes and the revenue stats to back them up. “There’s only one way to go, and that’s up.”

Matt Boynes talks code quality and believes their system of spending more time is actually saving time – and money. Every single line of code gets a second pair of eyes. While it’s time consuming and creates barriers for deployment, the benefits overwhelmingly outweighed the costs.
